Antique jewelry means old-fashioned jewelry. To term it an "antique", the jewelry at least 70 years old. The period 1920 to 1935 is referred to as the Art Deco period. It produced dazzling pieces in bright colors and straight lines. Long earrings were a popular part of the Art Deco jewelry. The antique art deco jewelry is occupiedwith emeralds, sapphires and rubies. These are the stones for a queen. Needless to say, they are exorbitant and rare.

Art Nouveau jewelry was in the years 1890-1919 very popular. motifs used in this jewelry were inspired by nature. Butterflies, dragons, orchids, lilies and snakes were popular motifs preferred. The widespread use of precious and semiprecious stones, horn, copper shell, tortoiseshell, ivory and shells was the norm.

The short span from 1901 to 1915 iscalled, from the Edwardian era. Edwardian jewelry was taken diamonds and pearls in platinum, creating intricate patterns.
